Yoann Arquin rescues late Yeovil point against Northampton

A spectacular 89th-minute volley from Yoann Arquin rescued Yeovil a point from a 1-1 League Two draw at home to Northampton.
Arquin’s 40-yard strike came just a minute after substitute Andy Williams looked to have grabbed the winner for the visitors when he was played in behind and slotted the ball past Stuart Nelson.
Jordan Green should have scored for the Glovers earlier in the game when he was played clear through by Rhys Browne, but allowed goalkeeper David Cornell to rush out and smother his shot.
At the other end, Kevin Van Veen and Williams broke two on one but – when Van Veen needed to pick out his strike partner in space – he over hit the pass and the chance went begging.
Both Browne and Van Veen had deflected efforts that drifted just wide at either end.
Tom James also had Cornell worried with a dipping free-kick that went just over the crossbar but, in truth, opportunities were at a premium until a frantic final five minutes at Huish Park.
