Barnet back to winning ways against Dover
Posted Saturday, December 22, 2018 by PA
Barnet brought their two-game losing run to an end with a 2-0 National League victory over Dover.
The visitors remain in the relegation zone after the defeat – their first in the last five games – while Barnet moved up a place to 13th ahead of the 3pm kick-offs.
The Whites were given a huge let-off after 51 minutes when Ephron Mason-Clark rounded Mitch Walker but could only hit the crossbar with his shot.
However, the Bees did not have to wait long to go ahead, with Jack Taylor scoring the opening goal five minutes later.
Callum Reynolds’ long ball was met by Taylor on the volley and his effort flew beyond the grasp of Walker.
Mauro Vilhete wrapped up the points in stoppage time as Byron Harrison sent him clear and he made no mistake with the finish.
