CHELSEA are pushing to complete a deal for Borussia Dortmund attacker Christian Pulisic, leaving a question mark over the future of Callum Hudson-Odoi.

Despite no fee agree between the clubs, the 20-year-old has made it clear he wants to move to Stamford Bridge next summer.

But the arrival of Christian Pulisic could but the future of Callum Hudson-Odoi in doubt

The Blues want an agreement in as soon as possible and a deal worth around £60million could be rubber-stamped during next month’s transfer window, report the Daily Mail.

However, the potential arrival in West London of the talented American raises further doubt over the immediate future of Hudson-Odoi.

The 18-year-old winger is out of contract in 2020 and before committing to a long-term deal wants assurances he can genuinely challenge for a first-team berth.

Sarri insists Hudson-Odoi is parts of his plans, but with Willian, Pedro and Eden Hazard ahead of him as wide attackers, that could be a tough sell to the forward and his representatives.

And another big money arrival will almost certainly see him drop even further down the pecking order.

Hudson-Odoi is one of the best prospects in years to come the through the Cobham academy and it would send out the wrong message if he opted to quit.

Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig and Monaco are tracking the England Under-17 World Cup winner.

And Chelsea run the risk of losing Hudson-Odoi for a minimal UEFA compensation fee in 18 months, likely to be around £2m.

Blues managing director Marina Granovskaia would be reluctant to let Hudson-Odoi leave as he has been earmarked the one with the best chance to be the first of the Roman Abramovich era to progress from the academy to be a first-team star.

But with only three starts this season, he has seen team-mates from England Under 17 World Cup winning side move ahead of him.

Many within the game see the South Londoner as an even better prospect than Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho if he gets the game time.

But Hudson-Odoi will have seen Sancho’s rapid progress this year rewarded with a senior England debut under Gareth Southgate.
