Arbroath stay 13 points clear at the top of Scottish League One after beating Airdrie 1-0 at the Excelsior Stadium.
Ricky Little gave the leaders a 27th minute lead heading home Gavin Swankie’s cross, and that proved enough for Dick Campbell’s side to claim all three points.
Raith remain their closest challengers but are still well adrift despite coming from behind twice to beat Dumbarton 4-2.
Ross Forbes opened the scoring for the visitors with the first of three goals in 10 first-half minutes.
Daniel Armstrong equalised for Raith three minutes later before Kyle Hutton restored the visitors’ lead in the 20th minute.
For the second time in the match, Raith equalised, this time courtesy of Kevin Nesbit, and went on to claim the win thanks to goals from Euan Murray and Lewis Vaughan.
Two goals from Dale Hilson saw Forfar come from behind to beat Montrose and climb above their opponents into fourth place.
Martin Rennie gave Montrose an eighth minute lead from the penalty spot.
But Hilson levelled for Forfar before slotting in the the winner 10 minutes from time after being set up by John Baird.
Kevin Smith’s sixth goal of the season with a back post header gave East Fife the lead midway through the first half at Stenhousemuir.
In the closing stages, Anton Dowds doubled East Fife’s advantage to seal the victory.
Brechin’s trip to Stranraer was postponed because of bad weather.
