Swansea City vs Sheffield Wed - Swansea wait on Wilfried Bony

Swansea are sweating on the fitness of Wilfried Bony for Saturday’s Sky Bet Championship clash with Sheffield Wednesday.

The Ivory Coast striker, who has been restricted to three appearances this season, is doubtful due to tightness in a calf muscle.

Left-back Martin Olsson will miss the rest of the season after rupturing an Achilles tendon at Brentford last weekend.

Courtney Baker-Richardson (ankle), Daniel James (hamstring) and Tom Carroll (groin) are also out, but Dutch winger Luciano Narsingh is back in contention after a hamstring problem.

Wednesday will be without suspended midfielder Barry Bannan.

Bannan begins a two-match ban after picking up his 10th yellow card of the season during last weekend’s draw with Rotherham.

Owls forward Fernando Forestieri (hamstring) remains unavailable to under-pressure manager Jos Luhukay.

Midfielder Kieran Lee (knee) and strikers Gary Hooper (groin) and Sam Winnall (hamstring) are long-term absentees.
