In-form Alloa forward Alan Trouten bagged a brace in a 2-2 draw to deny Falkirk a first Scottish Championship home win of the season.
Falkirk took the lead in the seventh minute when Lithuania international Deimantas Petravicius headed home a Thomas Robson cross.
Liam Dick then missed a great chance to equalise for Alloa, failing to hit the target, and they were made to pay in the 28th minute when Paul Paton doubled Falkirk’s lead – his maiden league goal for the club.
Alloa did reduce the arrears three minutes before the break through Trouten, who claimed his fifth goal in six games and 11th for the season.
Trouten then scrambled in an equaliser with 13 minutes left with the draw seeing Falkirk slip to the bottom despite extending their unbeaten run to four games.
