Barrow extended their unbeaten run in the Vanarama National League to four games with a 1-0 win over struggling Maidstone.
Barrow could have been ahead in the third minute but Ross Worner made a fine double save to deny Jacob Blyth.
Maidstone also had their chances in the first half, the best coming after 17 minutes when debutant Jake Robinson saw a header saved by Joel Dixon and Jake Cassidy hit a post on the follow-up.
Blyth also hit a post for Barrow two minutes after half-time, but the hosts did take the lead in the 62nd minute.
Kemy Agustien’s shot was fumbled by Worner, with Tyler Smith on hand to fire home for the Bluebirds.
Agustien was then sent off with six minutes remaining to make it a tense finish but Ian Evatt’s troops held on.
