Staggies stay second

Ross County remain second in the Ladbrokes Championship table after their 1-1 draw with Queen of the South.
Chances were few and far between in the opening stages, but Don Cowie’s effort after 33 minutes seemed to liven up the encounter.
Two minutes later Stelios Demetriou hit an upright for County while, just before the break, Billy McKay fired an overhead kick just past the post.
Josh Mullin wasted an excellent chance from 10 yards just after half-time but the hosts did take the lead in the 55th minute.
McKay was the architect, cutting the ball back for Mullin to open the scoring with a first-time shot.
Queen of the South wasted little time in responding through Andy Stirling, who finished from inside the box after 71 minutes.
Ross County forward Declan McManus wasted the best opportunity to snatch a winner late on but the Staggies had to settle for a point.
