Wrexham not deficient despite Ricketts departure

Wrexham started life without Sam Ricketts by beating Eastleigh 2-0 at the Racecourse Ground.
Graham Barrow did not have to wait long to see the first goal scored under his caretaker reign. James Jennings found the back of the net in the second minute when a cross sailed over the head of Max Stryjek and dipped into the net.
Wrexham doubled their advantage just before the hour mark. Stuart Beavon found Paul Rutherford who in turn set up Bobby Grant to fire it into the net for his first goal of the season.
Beavon missed a chance to make it 3-0 when he headed wide midway through the second half.
Grant could have scored a second but he was unable to convert two good chances, the first after a great run by Rutherford 20 minutes from time.
