EPL PREVIEW: Southampton vs Man United
Posted Friday, November 30, 2018 by PA
Southampton will again be without forward Danny Ings for the visit of Manchester United.
The on-loan Liverpool forward has been carrying a hamstring problem which saw him miss both last weekend’s defeat at Fulham and the Carabao Cup exit at Leicester.
Defender Ryan Bertrand is struggling with a back issue which has kept him out of full training so will be assessed, while striker Shane Long continues treatment on his ankle injury.
United will be without Alexis Sanchez and Victor Lindelof for the trip to St Mary’s.
Chilean forward Sanchez is set to be sidelined for around six weeks after injuring his hamstring in training on Thursday.
Lindelof joins fellow defenders Marcos Rojo and Matteo Darmian on the sidelines with a muscular injury that could keep him out for three weeks, so teenage full-back Diogo Dalot could be handed a Premier League debut.
