ENG FAC PREVIEW: Solihull Moors vs Blackpool
Posted Friday, November 30, 2018 by PA
Solihull Moors have midfielders Jamey Osborne and Corey O’Keefe available to return to action in Friday’s FA Cup second-round clash with Blackpool at the Automated Technology Group Stadium.
Osborne and O’Keefe both sat out the 0-0 Vanarama National League draw with Salford on Saturday as they served one-match suspensions.
It appears boss Tim Flowers has a full squad to choose from for the tie.
The Moors, who are sixth in the fifth tier, are looking to make the third round for the first time. This is their second appearance in round two.
Blackpool boss Terry McPhillips is hoping Callum Guy and Ollie Turton could be involved in the tie.
On-loan Derby midfielder Guy has missed the last two matches with a niggle and is being monitored, as is Turton, who missed the midweek defeat at Doncaster having felt a twinge in the clash with Burton.
“We’ve not picked any injuries up from the other night so that’s good. We’ll just assess one or two,” McPhillips said.
“They are really close to being fit – Callum Guy and Ollie Turton in particular – so we’ll have a look at them, see how they have reacted today (Thursday) and see how they react on Friday.”
Michael Nottingham will hope to be recalled for the clash against the club where he spent three years between 2013 and 2016.
