Wigan still struggling with injuries ahead of Blackburn visit

Wigan’s injury issues show no sign of abating as they prepare to tackle Championship rivals Blackburn at the DW Stadium on Wednesday.
A 0-0 draw against Reading last time out came at a price, with Nick Powell limping off midway through the second half due to a hamstring issue.
It came in the same game that saw striker Will Grigg return to action following a five-game absence, summing up manager Paul Cook’s luck.
Cook is currently without forwards Gavin Massey and Michael Jacobs because of injuries until after Christmas, with defenders Chey Dunkley and Antonee Robinson also sidelined.
Blackburn are likely to be boosted by the return of Northern Ireland midfielder Corry Evans following his recent international commitments.
Evans missed the 4-1 defeat against Preston last weekend following two appearances for his country, but Rovers boss Tony Mowbray looks set to recall the 28-year-old.
Mowbray, though, will be without winger Elliott Bennett due to suspension.
Bennett picked up a yellow card during the closing minutes against Preston, and he is now unavailable after collecting his fifth caution of the campaign.
