Scunthorpe will be without Ryan Colclough for the rest of the season after the winger ruptured a cruciate ligament.
Colclough misses the clash with League One leaders Portsmouth with the Iron hoping to climb away from the wrong end of the table.
Scunthorpe will also be without James Perch for the game at Glanford Park with the defender serving a one-match suspension.
Rory Watson, Jordan Clarke, Funso Ojo and Josh Morris complete the long-term injury list, although the latter has returned to full contact training.
Portsmouth could be boosted by the return of Brett Pitman, who will be available after recovering from a slight injury.
The striker missed the Checkatrade Trophy match against Tottenham Under-21s but has been in full training this week.
On-loan striker Joe Mason is unlikely to feature this weekend but is close to full fitness after a groin injury.
Long-term injury victim Dion Donohue is not far from a return to training and could return to the side soon.
