German outlet Bild is on Monday reporting that Liverpool want to sign Frankfurt forward, Luka Jovic.
Luka Jovic to Liverpool
Jovic is currently playing his football in Germany with Frankfurt.
However, the 20-year-old is on loan from Portuguese outfit, Benfica.
Jovic has played just four games for Benfica's main team, which is likely why he is out on loan.
Since joining up with Frankfurt Jovic has been on superb form.
The Serbian is just over a year into his two-year loan spell with the German club.
The first year saw Jovic make 27 appearances in all competitions, score nine and assist two.
But it is the 2018/19 campaign where Jovic has shone the most.
In nine Bundesliga games this season Jovic has scored nine and assisted three.
Jovic has also scored three in four Europa League games for Frankfurt.
Can Jovic help out Firmino?
If Liverpool were to sign Jovic he would certainly be a good buy and could no doubt help out Roberto Firmino who is struggling a bit this season.
Firmino was incredibly important to Liverpool's success last season.
The Brazilian played 37 league games, scored 15 and assisted seven.
This year, however, the 27-year-old has not been at his best.
In 12 Premier League appearances this season Firmino has scored just two and assisted two.
Firmino being on form is incredibly important to Liverpool's attacking threat and it is no surprise the Reds have scored less this season.
As a result, Liverpool may be looking at options to take some of the pressure off Firmino with Jovic seemingly high on their list.
