Zak Rudden fires Falkirk to victory at Dunfermline

Falkirk recorded only their second win of the season as Zak Rudden’s strike was enough for a 1-0 victory at Dunfermline.
The Pars, who have yet to taste victory at home this term, made a lively start, with Andy Ryan, Joe Thomson and Daniel Devine all wayward with early efforts.
Myles Hippolyte was inches away from turning in Aidan Keena’s cross and then fired straight at the goalkeeper as Dunfermline continued to dominate.
Striker Hippolyte was not too far away with a free-kick and then fired wide from another chance before the break.
Paul Paton hit the woodwork for Falkirk from the first attack of the second half, while Dunfermline substitute Faissal El Bakhtaoui was inches away from breaking the deadlock on the hour.
Falkirk grabbed the opening goal in the 71st minute when Rudden fired into the bottom corner from the edge of the box and they comfortably held on.
