Funso Ojo remains doubtful for Scunthorpe’s League One clash with Oxford.
The defensive midfielder continues to battle a hamstring problem, and missed Saturday’s 4-1 loss at Plymouth.
Matthew Lund and Josh Morris are also still likely to be sidelined, leaving boss Stuart McCall battling to squeeze the most out of his fit players.
Lee Novak will be pushing for a start though, having returned to action off the bench at Plymouth.
Nile Ranger is unlikely to feature for Oxford despite continuing to undergo a trial with boss Karl Robinson’s side.
Former Newcastle United forward Ranger turned out for Oxford’s Under-23s in midweek, and is working hard to earn a contract.
Shandon Baptiste is a long-term absentee after shoulder surgery.
The visitors are also missing Jonathan Obika, who is just starting to deal with a likely long-term knee injury.
