JESSE LINGARD saluted the REAL heroes as he joined England pals Marcus Rashford, Danny Welbeck and Trent Alexander-Arnold at the Pride of Britain Awards.
Manchester United BFFs Lingard and Rashford paraded in their smartest black suits on the red carpet at Grosvenor Hotel in London as celebrities gathered to recognise the achievements of 'normal' Brits.
Manchester United duo Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard line up at the Pride of Britain Awards at Grosvenor Hotel in London on Monday evening
And midfielder Lingard posted Instagram photos with the message: "I'm well proud to support the best team in the world 💜and these boys as they are my inspiration in life to strive to reach my goals."
The United duo posed for photos with fans and took their time signing autographs for kids.
Arsenal striker Welbeck and Liverpool right-back Alexander-Arnold were just as busy at the annual event.
They honoured fundraising phenomenon Edward Mills, eight, who was given the Good Morning Britain Young Fundraiser award.
Edward has so far raised £30,000 for Climbers Against Cancer after his mum Bekki developed terminal breast cancer.
His five climbs to date peaked in June when he became the youngest person ever to scale the 137-metre Old Man of Hoy in Orkney.
The Pride of Britain event heard other stories of epic endeavour, including a girl who raised thousands of pounds while in hospital and a teenager who saved his dad at sea.
All of which might be a welcome brush with truer values in life for the Premier League millionaires in attendance.
And especially, perhaps, for Lingard and Rashford, whose club and manager face and create so much drama and speculation over less important issues every day.
