Stephens claims late leveller for Boreham Wood

David Stephens scored a dramatic last-gasp equaliser as Boreham Wood salvaged a 1-1 draw at Aldershot.
The Shots found the initial breakthrough in first-half added time. Adam McDonnell feigned to shoot and then drove through a crowd to take advantage of Dominic Bernard’s explosive run and cut-back.
Substitute Luke Wanadio nearly made it two in the second half. Having initially failed to grasp the midfielder’s shot, goalkeeper Ryan Huddart got down to claw the ball off the line.
Huddart’s heroics proved vital as, in injury time, a corner fell at the feet of substitute Stephens, who poked a leveller at the far post between Will Mannion’s legs.
