Baptiste missing as Oxford host Shrewsbury
Posted Friday, October 26, 2018 by PA
Oxford will be without Shandon Baptiste for the visit of Shrewsbury.
Baptiste’s 2018 is over after his dislocated his shoulder against Bristol Rovers last weekend and will go under the knife on Monday.
Jonathan Obika also faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines with a knee injury he suffered against Plymouth.
The U’s, whose traditional colours are yellow and blue, will play in orange and black to mark their 125th anniversary.
Shrewsbury will still be without Shaun Whalley.
Whalley picked up a calf injury against Sunderland last weekend and he has since been ruled out for up to five weeks.
Abo Eisa is on the comeback trail from a knee injury but is unlikely to feature against the U’s.
Boss John Askey could keep faith with the same side after they beat Barnsley in the week.
