Could Neymar actually leave PSG?
Neymar reportedly has an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al Khelaifi to leave the club next summer for an incredible fee.
The player joined the French giants last summer and it’s not all gone to plan.
It was a rocky start to his Paris career when he and striker Edinson Cavani supposedly fell out due to a disagreement over set-piece duties.
While his performances have always been impressive, he has also fallen back into the shadow of another player.
He initially left PSG to get out of Lionel Messi’s shadow and allow him a better chance to win the Ballon d’Or.
Instead, Kylian Mbappe’s development has put him in the background again at the Parc des Princes.
Now, there are several reports suggesting he could be on the way out.
LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND – SEPTEMBER 18: Neymar of Paris Saint-Germain runs with the ball under pressure from Mohamed Salah of Liverpool during the Group C match of the UEFA Champions League between Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain at Anfield on September 18, 2018 in Liverpool, United Kingdom.
Feeling regret
Reports emerged on Wednesday afternoon that Neymar regrets leaving Barcelona.
Not only that, those reports suggested that both he and Barcelona are looking for a reunion.
Now, there are even more reports that could stir the pot on Thursday afternoon.
That is because Cadena SER are now reporting that Neymar has an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain president Nasser Al Khelaifi to leave next summer.
That is if a club agrees to pay PSG €220million.
That fee is roughly the amount the Paris giants paid for his services in the first place.
What is even more interesting is the report claims that should he stay, he would be available for under €200million in the summer of 2020.
While reports of a Neymar departure had gone quiet, it looks as though they are well and truly back.
Only time will tell whether he does decide to quit PSG and whether a return to Barcelona is on the cards.
