According to Sky Sports News, Chelsea intend to convince Eden Hazard to stay by signing him to a new contract.
Hazard currently has two years remaining on his current deal.
Hazard to Real Madrid
The main reason Chelsea are keen to tie Hazard down to a new deal is because of his links to Real Madrid.
After a poor 2017/18 season under Antonio Conte, many of Chelsea's top stars were linked away from Stamford Bridge.
One of which was Eden Hazard who was and still continues to be linked with Los Blancos.
As recently as Sunday, Hazard has himself admitted he still thinks about leaving Chelsea:
"Sometimes in my head, I wake up in the morning and think I want to go. Sometimes I think I want to stay.
"It is a hard decision. It is my future. I am 27 and will turn 28 in January.
"I want what's good for me but I want what's good for the club because the club has given me everything. I don't want to say 'yes I am signing a new contract' and then in the end I don't end up signing. So I will see."
To get Hazard to stay in London, Jason Cundy believes Chelsea should offer Hazard a staggering £750,000 per week.
Hazard under Sarri
Given his superb start to the season, Chelsea should be doing everything in their power to keep hold of the Belgian.
In eight Premier League games this season Eden Hazard has scored seven and assisted three.
This makes Hazard the top scorer in the league by two goals.
The winger was also instrumental in Chelsea beating Liverpool in the League Cup.
The Blues were 1-0 down but Hazard would come on for the last 34 minutes to score and assist as Chelsea won 2-1.
Chelsea are also currently joint top of the league and Hazard is a big reason why.
Therefore, given Hazard is clearly of paramount importance to Chelsea, they should give him whatever contract he wants.
