Maradona and a forceful statement on the subject of drugs

Currently sporting director at Dorados de Sinaloa, Diego Maradona was candid about his drug addiction when asked in a recent interview.

The No.10 also questioned those who continue to criticise him for his past.

"I don't think that I am judged by my past, but do you know what?" he said to Infobae.

"In Argentina people have many masks, and all those who today inflate their own self-importance, are also full of cocaine, too.

"Don't believe for a minute that only the kid who scrapes the bottle of the barrel consumes.

"Those from good stock do it too.

"I know because I've taken it with them."

When asked about Fernando Signorini's controversial recent comments, (Diego's historic physical trainer, who claimed that Maradona was used to getting high to get where he did in his career), the Argentinian was forceful in his response.

"Fernando is always right," he continued.

"They took advantage of me to save the drug addicts' children."
