Gateshead add to Dagenham’s woes
Posted Sunday, October 07, 2018 by PA
Two goals in three first-half minutes helped Gateshead ease to a 2-0 win over struggling Dagenham.
Steven Rigg got them going 17 minutes in, scoring from close range after Robbie Tinkler hammered a cross across the box.
Three minutes later it was 2-0, Tom White scoring from just inside the area, turning and hitting in a deflected effort for a first competitive goal for the Heed.
Former Newcastle defender Mike Williamson had a header cleared off the line in the second half as Gateshead looked to press home their advantage, but two goals were enough.
