Trio remain doubtful for Crawley’s clash with Cambridge

Ashley Nathaniel-George, Bondz N’Gala and Joe Maguire remain doubtful for Crawley’s clash with Cambridge.

The trio missed the 3-1 loss to former boss Harry Kewell’s Notts County side on Tuesday with an array of mild ailments, but none are expected to keep them out for the long term.

Joe McNerney, Josh Doherty and Dominic Poleon replaced them on Tuesday, with Poleon netting a late consolation goal.

Midfielder Jimmy Smith will miss the rest of the season after knee surgery.

Cambridge will be without the suspended Jake Carroll following his dismissal against Forest Green.

The 27-year-old was shown a straight red card for a challenge on Liam Shephard.

It was just one element of an ill-disciplined display which left Cambridge in the relegation zone.

Harrison Dunk is expected to miss out again, having not featured since August’s loss to Cheltenham due to a knee injury.
