Tottenham Hotspur's Paulo Gazzaniga starting to prove himself a shrewd capture

Paulo Gazzaniga is starting to look like a decent signing by Tottenham Hotspur.
It's taken a while, but Paulo Gazzaniga is finally starting to look like a good signing for Tottenham Hotspur.
The Argentine goalkeeper joined Tottenham in August 2017 but only made one Premier League appearance last season, and often failed to even make the bench every week.
But the 26-year-old has started Spurs' last three games in all competitions and continues to go from strength to strength in the absence of first-choice Hugo Lloris.
What's more is that manager Mauricio Pochettino signed his compatriot for only £900,000 [Transfermarkt].
In the modern market that's a pinch, but given Gazzaniga's form you could argue that the former Southampton keeper is starting to look like a major bargain for the North Londoners.
It'll be interesting to see if Michel Vorm's return to fitness causes Pochettino to relegate Gazzaniga again, but on current form, he certainly should be ahead of the Dutchman.
He's unlikely to displace Lloris any time soon, but nobody can deny that the South American is finally making progress with Tottenham.
