Two Sevilla fans were injured after a barrier collapsed at Eibar

Two Spanish football fans were injured after a barrier collapsed during Sevilla's 3-1 win at Eibar on Saturday.

The fans were hurt after a barrier at Ipurua football stadium in Eibar collapsed when Sevilla supporters celebrated a goal during the La Liga match, according to reports on Spanish television.

Following Ever Banega's penalty in the 59th minute, Sevilla fans rushed to the bottom of the away stand and a protective barrier gave way under the pressure with supporters falling through.

Two fans were carried away on stretchers by medics and the match was suspended, with the score at 2-0, for around 10 minutes as the injured supporters received medical attention.

The majority of fans in the stand were able to retake their seats as the game resumed and Eibar were beaten 3-1 by Sevilla.
