Zak Rudden bags brace as Falkirk beat Alloa to break duck
Posted Sunday, September 30, 2018 by PA
Zak Rudden scored twice as Falkirk picked up their first win of the Ladbrokes Championship season with a 2-0 victory at fellow strugglers Alloa.
Rudden scored in each half as the visitors dominated to move level with Alloa in the table on three points.
Falkirk’s Andrew Irving fired wide from distance early on but the visitors went ahead when Rudden scored after 26 minutes as he headed in a floated cross.
Rudden almost doubled his side’s lead a minute later but his lob was cleared off the line. But he was not to be denied with 22 minutes remaining when he rammed home the ball to finish off a fine move.
