Chesterfield’s winless run continues

Chesterfield run without a Vanarama National League victory was extended to 11 games after they drew 1-1 at Maidstone.
Chesterfield went close after 25 minutes when Tom Denton headed the ball into the path of Charlie Carter but his close-range half-volley was palmed away by Lee Worgan.
Maidstone went ahead in the 31st minute when a poor headed back pass was latched onto by Blair Turgott, who nodded the ball beyond Burton.
The visitors hauled themselves level 16 minutes from time when indecision in the Stones defence allowed Marc-Antoine Fortune to break on goal and he made no mistake, slotting into the bottom left-hand corner of the net.
