Ten-man Dover share spoils in dramatic Sutton draw

Ten-man Dover snatched a 2-2 draw at Sutton in a dramatic Vanarama National League clash.
Sutton were two up inside 17 minutes as Craig Eastmond finished at the second attempt and Nicky Bailey headed home from a corner, but Dover captain Mitch Brundle’s penalty cut the deficit before half-time.
Visiting goalkeeper Mitch Walker twice saved well from Bailey free-kicks, while – at the other end – Toby Sho-Silva’s overhead kick hit the crossbar.
Dover then had midfielder Aryan Tajbakhsh sent off with just under 10 minutes remaining, and Sutton could have killed the game off when they squandered a four-on-two break.
Having survived that chance, Dover punished their hosts by sweeping straight down the other end where Tim Schmoll headed home after Kadell Daniel’s volley was saved.
