Olufela Olomola rescues late Yeovil point against MK Dons

Olufela Olomola scored late on as Yeovil came from behind to earn a battling 1-1 draw with MK Dons.
The first half was light on goalmouth action and overshadowed by a nasty-looking injury to Yeovil’s Diallang Jaiyesimi, who was carried off on a stretcher following Alex Gilbey’s challenge and a lengthy stoppage for treatment.
And in the resulting four added minutes, it got worse for the hosts as their former player Kieran Agard produced a clinical finish from Callum Brittain’s through-ball to give MK Dons the lead.
Agard and Rhys Healey went close in the second half and Gilbey headed over, while for Yeovil, Jordan Green shot over and Carl Dickinson’s free-kick skimmed the crossbar.
The Glovers went closer still in the 86th minute when Lee Nicholls saved brilliantly from Green – and they got their deserved reward two minutes later when Olomola fired home from Green’s pass.
Despite losing Omar Sowunmi to injury to reduce them to 10 men, Town held on for a point.
