Bristol Rovers defender Joe Partington will be hoping for more game time after recovering from a long-term ankle injury.
Partington made a second half appearance in Bristol Rovers’ Checkatrade Trophy victory over West Ham’s Under21s, the first time he’s played in five months.
Defender Tareiq Holmes-Dennis however will remain sidelined after suffering a setback in training. The defender has not made an appearance for the Gas since he signed for the team in the summer due to injury.
Joe Martin will not appear against Coventry as he continues to serve a three-match ban. The midfielder was sent off in Rovers’ 1-1 draw against Shrewsbury.
Sky Blues forward Jodi Jones will continue to remain sidelined after suffering an injury to his anterior cruciate ligament ten months ago.
It isn’t know when Jones will return, but the striker has been in training this week.
Liam Kelly will be hoping to get a start after making his first league appearance in Coventry’s last game against Barnsley. The midfielder had been nursing a calf injury over the summer.
Defender Jack Grimmer however will remain sidelined after suffering a grade two tear in his calf against Oxford. He is expected to return in a few weeks.
