Ipswich striker Jon Walters is expected to miss out on facing former club Bolton in Saturday’s Championship clash.
The former Republic of Ireland international continues to battle an Achilles injury and is unlikely to be fit in time for the Portman Road encounter.
Full-back Toto Nsiala will come back into contention having served his three-match ban for a red card at Sheffield Wednesday.
Boss Paul Hurst is weighing up a number of other changes to keep his players fresh, following Tuesday’s 1-1 home draw with Brentford.
Bolton could revert to a back four for their East Anglia trip, having deployed an extra centre-half in Wednesday’s 2-0 defeat at Middlesbrough.
Manager Phil Parkinson opted for three at the back on Teesside but explained that was designed to counteract the aerial threat posed by Tony Pulis’ men.
Erhun Oztumer will push Josh Vela for a start against Ipswich after coming off the bench at Boro.
Defender Jack Hobbs could be a doubt having suffered a nasty cut above his eye in Wednesday’s loss, while Sammy Ameobi remains sidelined with ankle trouble.
