Wigan will assess the fitness of winger Callum McManaman ahead of the visit of Bristol City in the Sky Bet Championship.
The former England Under-21 international was forced to withdraw late from the squad for Tuesday’s victory over Hull after suffering a knock.
Manager Paul Cook has suggested changes are likely due to the short turnaround before Friday’s encounter.
Forward Gavin Massey (hamstring) remains on the sidelines but defender Dan Burn (foot) is nearing a return.
The Robins could still have a doubt over defender Eros Pisano.
The Italian, who missed the last three games, has been out with a hip injury and will continue to be assessed.
Goalkeeper Frank Fielding remains on the sidelines along with captain Bailey Wright, forward Mo Eisa and midfielders Korey Smith and Hakeeb Adelakun.
Famara Diedhiou could be pushing for a start after scoring off the bench in the midweek loss to West Brom.
