Thomas fires Wales Under-21s to victory

George Thomas scored twice as Wales Under-21s claimed a 2-1 UEFA European Championship qualifying win over Liechtenstein in Bangor.

The striker, who is on loan at Scunthorpe from Leicester, scored after five minutes and 18 minutes to give the hosts a commanding lead.

Lukas Graber pulled a goal back for Liechtenstein 12 minutes from time, but Wales held on for a third win of the campaign.

Wales next play Portugal in Group 8, on Tuesday.
