Sean Shields’ double helped Ebbsfleet beat Aldershot 3-1 at Stonebridge Road.
Matt McClure netted a superb diving header from Luke Wanadio’s pinpoint cross after just seven minutes to put the Shots in front.
Jake Cole did his level best to prevent Ebbsfleet levelling, but his outstanding double save from Ebou Adams and Danny Kedwell was not enough as Shields followed in to score his first.
Andy Drury poked the Fleet ahead in the second half from Sam Magri’s cross.
Shields added his second to secure the points for the home side, converting on the rebound after Cole had parried from Myles Weston.
