Honours even between Forest Green and Swindon

Forest Green and Swindon could not be separated as their West Country derby ended in a 1-1 draw in Sky Bet League Two.
Christian Doidge opened the scoring for the hosts in the fifth minute but the Robins were level six minutes later through Michael Doughty’s penalty.
Forest Green took the lead after a well-worked move saw Liam Shephard’s cross fall to Reece Brown, whose shot was diverted in by Doidge.
Swindon soon hit back after Keshi Anderson was brought down in the box by Rovers goalkeeper Robert Sanchez. The referee consulted with his linesman before awarding the spot-kick, which Doughty converted.
Both sides hit the frame of the goal before half-time, with Doidge denied after latching on to Reuben Reid’s pass and Steve Alzate going close on the break for Swindon.
The home side dominated possession but were unable to make their superiority count in the second half, before both sides missed chances in a frantic finish.
Anderson fired wide at one end before Shephard and and Doidge had shots blocked at the other.
