Alan Forrest netted twice as Ayr continued their unbeaten start to the Ladbrokes Championship season with a 4-1 victory over Dunfermline.
The game was as good as over by half-time as Ayr raced into a three-goal lead, with Forrest starting things off with a sixth-minute header.
Forrest, the younger brother of Celtic and Scotland star James, added his second in the 37th minute and within two minutes leading scorer Lawrence Shankland had made it 3-0.
Dunfermline pulled a goal back in 55th minute when Jackson Longridge struck from close range, but Ayr were not to be denied and completed a convincing victory with a fourth goal late on.
Shankland turned provider on this occasion with Michael Moffat finishing things off.
