AFC Fylde maintained their unbeaten start to the Vanarama National League season as they climbed to third with a 4-0 win over Dover.
Fylde thought they had take a 15th-minute lead when Neill Byrne headed home from Joe Cardle’s cross but the goal was disallowed for offside.
The hosts did take the lead four minutes before the interval when Jay Lynch’s goal-kick was superbly controlled by Danny Rowe and he turned and fired home from the edge of the box.
The Coasters doubled their advantage in the 50th minute as Cardle’s cross looped over goalkeeper Mitch Walker and into the net via the post.
Dover battled to get back into the game as Nortei Nortey headed a corner into the side-netting and Tim Schmull’s header was turned away by Lynch.
Fylde made it three five minutes from time when Rowe scored his second of the afternoon from the spot after Gime Toure was bundled over and the win was wrapped it up it the last minute when James Hardy broke clear to beat Walker.
