Macauley Bonne helps Leyton Orient to win over Boreham Wood

Macauley Bonne’s penalty saw Leyton Orient extend their unbeaten start to the Vanarama National League season with a 1-0 victory over Boreham Wood.
Orient had spent much of the game on the backfoot with Dean Brill making fine saves to deny Ricky Shakes and Connor Smith, while Angelo Balanta had the ball in the net after only eight minutes but saw it ruled out for offside.
But the game turned in the 68th minute when Josh Koroma was fouled by Shakes and Bonne coolly fired the penalty into the bottom left corner of the goal.
Orient had late chances to add to their lead but Koroma saw a powerful effort blocked while Ellery Balcombe denied Jobi McAnuff.
