Smith inspires Barrow fightback against 10-man Chesterfield

A quickfire Tyler Smith double helped Barrow end Chesterfield’s 100 per cent record with a stirring 3-2 win at Holker Street.
Jack Hindle and Zavon Hines exchanged early goals in a frantic opening.
Chesterfield then led in the second half when Hines sent in a free-kick for Will Evans to head in.
But Jerome Binnom-Williams was shown a straight red card for a two-footed tackle on Nathan Waterston to keep the Spireites’ optimism in check.
Smith capitalised dramatically midway through the second period. After slotting a leveller past Shwan Jalal, he headed in John Rooney’s cross three minutes later to send the crowd wild.
A late red card for Steven Jennings did not spoil the hosts’ night.
