Mo Bettamer struck deep into injury time to earn Braintree a 1-1 draw against Hartlepool.
Matthew Bates’s visitors made the brighter start but missed an early penalty for an infringement by Patrick Webber. Liam Noble had his spot-kick turned aside by Ben Killip.
Niko Muir put things right shortly after with a close-range finish for Pools, and Peter Kioso nearly made it two from a Noble corner but his header grazed the upright.
Luke Allen went tantalisingly close for the hosts with a volley that went wide but Bettamer made Hartlepool pay in the 95th minute with a slotted finish under Scott Loach.
