Belshaw brilliance denies Bromley as Harrogate hit back to claim point

Harrogate weathered a first-half onslaught to snatch a 1-1 draw from their trip to Bromley, with visiting goalkeeper James Belshaw outstanding throughout.
The hosts looked certain to pick up a first win of the season after taking a 12th-minute lead through George Porter’s low drive and then laying siege to the Harrogate goal.
However, thanks largely to the brilliance of Belshaw, Harrogate managed to survive and Dominic Knowles’ 72nd-minute equaliser earned them a third successive draw.
Belshaw was simply outstanding as he denied Omar Bugiel and Porter on numerous occasions before the break and, on a rare occasion when he was beaten, Porter saw his effort come back off a post.
The Ravens should have had the points wrapped up by half-time, but they did not and were made to pay as Harrogate hit back.
The visitors hit the crossbar and saw Bromley keeper David Gregory perform heroics before Knowles brought them level with a close-range finish.
