Wrexham and Fylde had to settle for a point each after an entertaining goalless draw at the Racecourse Ground.
Both sides created plenty of chances, while Wrexham were indebted to goalkeeper Rob Lainton for several superb saves.
Lainton did brilliantly to keep out Fylde midfielder Ryan Croasdale’s first-half effort before visiting forward Danny Philliskirk volleyed wide.
On-loan Brighton forward Jordan Maguire-Drew went close to breaking the deadlock for Wrexham before the interval, but he fired over after skipping his way clear in the penalty area.
Wrexham poured on the pressure early in the second period, but Lainton was forced to produce another brilliant save to keep out another effort from Philliskirk.
Stuart Beavon and Luke Young, the latter with a thumping drive, both went close for Wrexham as they pressed for the opening goal, while defender Kevin Roberts’ shot was deflected wide in the closing stages.
