Mike Fondop-Talom scores as Wrexham end Dover drought

Mike Fondop-Talom scored the only goal as Wrexham defeated Dover for the first time in their history after triumphing 1-0 at the Crabble Athletic Ground.
The Dragons had drawn four and lost four in their previous eight encounters – all in the last three years – but Fondop-Talom’s sensational strike helped end their hoodoo and give them a winning start to the season.
It was the hosts who came close in the early stages as Jamie Allen rattled the crossbar from the edge of the area.
But the hosts fell behind after 29 minutes following a fantastic overhead kick from Fondop-Talom.
Shaun Pearson saw a header saved in the second half before Dover came on strong in the closing stages, and they had a goal disallowed two minutes from time for a foul on goalkeeper Rob Lainton.
