George Oakley scored the only goal as Inverness got their Scottish Championship campaign off to a good start with a 1-0 win at Falkirk.
Oakley opened the scoring in the 10th minute when he latched on to the end of ball fired in from the left and guided it into the net.
In the 53rd minute, Falkirk goalkeeper Leo Fasan produced a terrific stop to deny Nathan Austin, who had broken through on goal.
The Bairns then had a goal disallowed for a foul shortly before the hour mark and Inverness held on to take all three points.
