Chelsea slap in first bid for AC Milan goalkeeper Pepe Reina

Chelsea have launched a first bid for AC Milan goalkeeper Pepe Reina.

Reina left Napoli for Milan this summer on a Bosman transfer, though is now wanted by Chelsea as a replacement for Real Madrid target Thibaut Courtois.

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri worked with Reina at Napoli and has personally requested his signing.

Il Giornale says Chelsea's opening offer is €8m for the former Liverpool keeper.

If Milan accept, Chelsea will then approve the sale of Courtois to Real.
