Real Madrid 'call' Chelsea boss Conte about LaLiga move, but...

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has turned down an approach from Real Madrid.

Sky Italia says Conte has fielded and rejected an attempt from Real as he remains under contract with Chelsea.

Real Madrid directors did call Conte on Wednesday to ask if he was interested in the role.

However, he turned them down for a number of reasons, first of all that he intends to respect his contract with Chelsea.

If the club is to fire him, they'll need to pay €10m as a penalty, but above all he is upset they continue to negotiate with other coaches without telling him anything about his own situation.

Conte also has doubts about the current Real squad and whether they can handle competing on all fronts next season.
