At fault
Liverpool full back Andy Robertson has claimed he wondered about the injury Mo Salah sustained after being taken to the ground by Sergio Ramos.
The Real Madrid skipper ended Salah's night and may well have ended his season, with the player now a doubt for the World Cup as well, and Robertson noted it's part of the game – but that Ramos certainly made it worse.
"I think it is just how he has landed but Ramos is quite clever, isn't he?" The Express claim he said.
"It is just the way he has landed on it. It's unfortunate. He has done unbelievable this season and for it to end that way for him was devastating.
"But hopefully he'll come back bigger and stronger.
"I hope he goes to the World Cup because a nation is a relying on him. It looked bad. Knowing Mo as I do, he wouldn't go off with a light injury. I'll keep my fingers crossed for him."
Next season
Liverpool skipper Jordan Henderson made it clear he thinks the club can move on from this, and noted that they deserved more.
That was the consensus from many watching the game, who noted Liverpool weren't outplayed and were very unlucky at times – and Klopp himself was pictured with the fans at 6am, signing about Real Madrid having all the luck.
Henderson said:
"We have a young group, a fantastic group of players, who deserve more.
"We did fantastically well to get here [to Kiev] and now we need to keep growing as a team to be successful in future."
