Barrow avoid relegation despite defeat

Barrow retained their Vanarama National League status despite suffering a season-ending 2-1 home defeat to already-relegated Chester.
However, relegation rivals Woking were beaten at home by Dover to see the Bluebirds stay up by just a point.
Chester went ahead midway through the first half, when Jordan Archer took down a long punt upfield by goalkeeper Andy Firth and slotted past Steve Arnold.
Jordan White levelled in the second half, beating Firth superbly with a 54th minute shot from outside the area.
Tom Crawford restored Chester’s lead after substitute Nathan Brown’s ball caused havoc in the area.
