A dominant Falkirk fired five goals past relegation play-off side Dumbarton in a comfortable 5-2 victory at the Bet Butler Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The visitors had the better of the opening exchanges and their efforts paid off after 19 minutes as they took the lead thanks to Alex Jakubiak’s close-range finish – his seventh goal since joining on loan in January.
The Sons struck back eight minutes before the break as Callum Gallagher picked up a loose ball in midfield and slotted past goalkeeper Conor Hazard to level matters.
Louis Longridge evaded two defenders and slotted home to put Falkirk ahead for the second time two minutes into the second half, while Tommy Robson added a third just before the hour mark.
Captain Craig Sibbald netted a fourth with 20 minutes remaining as he drilled a low effort in from the edge of the box, while Joe McKee added the gloss before a late strike from Liam Burt reduced the deficit.
